over thirty years of combined cycling experience and incorporating
the technical aspects of bicycle fitting with the biomechanical and
musculoskeletal knowledge of
Dr. Jessop, we are able to provide several levels of comprehensive
bicycle fitting services ideal for any rider.
The ability to fit a cyclist to a bicycle has moved beyond taking
only a few measurements and then applying formulas to fit that rider
to the bicycle. That is a good place to start but to ensure a proper
fit you must go beyond that and incorporate the individual rider’s
goals, experience, fitness, flexibility and possibly past injuries
into account. A perfect fit incorporating all these and other issues
will result in a perfect marriage of rider and cyclist ensuring a
comfortable and an efficient ride.
Bike World and Dr. Jeremy Jessop have devoted significant resources
to secure the latest technology to ensure a proper fit on the
bicycle. Through education and technology you will receive the best
Fitting services available around.
We offer Professional Fitting Services using the Fit Kit Systems,
Racermate Computrainer Spinscan Program, Lemond Fitness Fitting
system and Dr. Jessop’s biomechanical knowledge. These bicycle
fitting systems utilize measuring devices and software to enable us
to fit cyclists properly to the bicycle.
We offer the R.A.D. system that is a cleat alignment tool that
enables us to find the rotational center and proper alignment for
setting up clipless pedals. This helps to ensure proper alignment of
the shoe on the pedal guaranteeing maximal power transfer and proper
knee alignment. This is crucial to prevent knee injury.
We also assess the cyclist with the Racer Mate Computrainer with
Spinscan. Spinscan Pedal Stroke Analyzer is a feature that helps you
increase power and efficiency. A dynamic bike fit utilizing Spinscan
is an excellent way to take the subjectivity and guesswork out of
the bike fit process. The Average Torque Angle displayed on the
screen helps us to adjust your position for optimum power.
